WiFi Module

Post by twesthoff »

Anyone know of a good inexpensive WiFi module?
I am familiar with the Lantronix parts, but wondered if any new ones are available. Small and cheap are the best. Serial data to WiFi would be great.

Let me refine that more... I have seen many on web searches. Has anyone used one successfully or have a favorite they would like to try?
This would help me narrow down the many choices out there.

I just ordered one of these...
for testing.

I should add that mine is coming from Digikey - just over $40 with shipping (First Class Mail).

Thanks Dave -
I'll check it out. Quickly looking... this one doesn't serve a webpage like some do. (Not that all applications need that feature.)

I haven't noticed any lower cost ones that serve a web page out-of-the-box but that's not a feature that is of interest to me. It does, however, maintain an RTC using an internet time server which is of interest to me. For my application, I'll just need to write code to send email.
