Touch sensing (QTouch/QMatrix)

Post by twesthoff »

Atmel has a QTouch (QMatrix) library they promote for touch sensing with AVR chips for buttons etc. They also have IC's (QT60486) dedicated for touch sensing.

I want to make a large touch sense keypad 12 x 12 that may be possibly as large as 24" square.

Has anyone experimented with this? Did it work OK? Any ideas?
Did you get it to work with ZBasic?

Has anyone done anything with touch sensing in ZBasic?

Touch sensing (QTouch/QMatrix)

Thanks.  I have been looking at that chip, and others from several manufacturers, as well as just using the Atmel Qtouch library and a Zbasic processor (the latter maybe being easier).  I was hoping someone here had actually experimented using ZBasic for touch sensing.  I may buy the SparkFun board and experiment.
