Next ZX Device?
To the Elba Corporation, what's on the drawing board? 32-bit device perhaps? Even Arduino is moving on with the 32-bit Due, now in beta release.
Re: Next ZX Device?
We generally do not announce new products until they are ready to ship. Rest assured that we are working on some new products and we will post here on the ZBasic Forum when the time is right.liam.zbasic wrote:[W]hat's on the drawing board?

Installing the ZBasic bootloader and, perhaps, adding support for the ATmega2560. It could be attractively priced if you started with...twesthoff wrote:What is a personality transplant?

Changing the crystal (if possible) and using the API for triggering downloads might reduce the documentation burden.
I've already designed the Zarduino boards (prototypes are being manufactured this week) socketed for the smaller ZX chips (24, 28, 40) so this may make less sense for them (and they require no documentation changes).

Outrageous! Arduino products on RadioShack shelves in instead of other great modules such as Zbasic and Maple! The relatively weak "Arduino Uno" is retailing for $39.95, more expensive than the Maple Mini.

I've also seen weird Arduino knockoffs at Fry's called "OSEPP" modules. And I mean I've seen them on the shelves.

On the bright side, this could spell the end for the ridiculously expensive Parallax modules. I'd like to see Elba Corp. products on shelves too.
