CPU at 18.432 MHz

Discussion of issues related specifically to writing code for native mode devices. This includes ZBasic code as well as assembly language code and C code, both inline and standalone.

CPU at 18.432 MHz

Post by rich »

I notice that in the description of the "CountTransitions" system call there is a table that references a clock speed of 18.432 MHz.

Which ZX device would that be?

Thanks

Long ago we produced a variation of the ATmega644p, VM based device that ran at 18.432MHz for a customer that needed a faster execution speed. Although that device did meet their needs at the time, the introduction of native mode devices gave them even more speed and other advantages that served their needs even better so those devices are no longer produced.

At the bottom of the main zbasic.net page there is a link to that information in two forms: one as a web page and one as an Excel spreadsheet. The URL that I supplied in my earlier response is for the web page form.
