Has anyone used ISD1700 recorder chip with zbasic ?

Just wondering if it works as advertised or if its one of those PITA modules that is flaky ?

The Information Storage Devices work very well per their datasheet.
Decouple the power pins close to the chip.
Recommend testing first in a simple breadboard circuit.
