There are now a total of 24 devices in the ZX family. I drew up the following picture which should help explain the capabilities of all of the devices, their relationship to each other and the base AVR microcontroller. You may have also noticed a link to this picture on the ZBasic home page.

Is Oak Micros a subsidiary or partner of Elba Corp., Netmedia, or is Oak Micros a completely independent entity? Thank you.

Oak Micros has licensed ZX technology from Elba Corp. Other than that, Oak Micros is independent of Elba Corp.

Regarding NetMedia, while I have purchased end-user products from NetMedia, there is no other business relationship between Elba Corp. and NetMedia. To the best of my knowledge the same is true with respect to Oak Micros and NetMedia.

Don is correct. Oak Micros is a separate entity from both Elba Corp and Netmedia.

In fact Oak Micros also produces its own devices. Currently we have an mega128-based integrated microcontroller called the om128 that includes a boot loader. The hardware platform itself is similar to the ZX-128e. We are also working on a new device that will be announced in a few weeks.

I will discuss with Don an update to the picture which indicates both OEMed devices. That might reduce any confusion
