Gerbers for external EEPROM

Post by DH* »

These are Gerber files to make a small printed circuit board to hold an SOIC8 EEPROM and pullup.

The file description cut this off so I'll add it here.

Mouser 575-311710 or 575-311720 will work. Digikey has them for less. The holes are designed to be a snug fit if the board house sizes holes to the finished size. (I've used the same pins in another board made by SparkFun.)

You'll need to solder a lead from /CS (pin 1 of the SOIC) to whatever pin you want to use. I planned to use the red LED.

eeprom.txt describes the files.

I had planned this for the BX-24 but have not tested it.

It is designed to plug into a BX-24 or ZX-24 SPI bus soldering a machined pin SIP to the main board and using Mill-Max pins on the daughter board.
