On a fast XP machine, and a 1281ae, the IDE crashes about once a day at best, and several times a day at worst--generally while downloading or verifying; the cursor just hangs at an hourglass, and the program stops responding thereafter. I download revised programs a few dozen times a day.
The cable is about four feet long, and terminates into a solderless breadboard.
Anyone have similar experiences, and have thoughts on whether this is a software failure, or hardware related?
IDE crashes
Re: IDE crashes
This appears to be a known problem with the IDE and is unrelated to the type of ZX processor being used. See this thread in the IDE forum http://www.zbasic.net/forum/about532.htmlpjc30943 wrote:On a fast XP machine, and a 1281ae, the IDE crashes about once a day at best, and several times a day at worst--generally while downloading or verifying; the cursor just hangs at an hourglass, and the program stops responding thereafter.
