Inputcapture and I2C on zx24. Possible?

Discussion specific to the 24-pin ZX microcontrollers, e.g. ZX-24r, ZX-24s and ZX-24t.

Inputcapture and I2C on zx24. Possible?

Post by sturgessb »

Hello all

I need to capture a PPM stream on a zx24 whilst still being able to communicate with an I2C device?

Im guessing this is not possible as both with need pin 12 and the i2c pullups will screw the PPM readings?

Probably not if the I2C pullup would interfere with the PPM readings and you can't utilize an analog multiplexer (to route the two signals to pin 12).

Note, however that the mega1284P-based ZX-24 had a second 16-bit timer. The ICP3 pin is B.5, available on the holes on the pin 1/24 end.
