Discussion specific to the 24-pin ZX microcontrollers, e.g. ZX-24r, ZX-24s and ZX-24t.

ZX-24n clock vs. Vcc

Post by GTBecker »

If I interpolate the datasheet correctly, the 644p on the -24n is spec'd at 13.3MHz max @3.3v. While not guaranteed, will it typically run 14.7MHz in practice?

I've seen it run without problems at 14.7MHz and 3.3V but I've not tested it exhaustively (over time, over temperature range, etc.) It is precisely because the specifications indicate that operation at 14.7MHz requires a minimum voltage of 3.97V that we offer devices like the ZX-328L for 3.3V operation - they are designed for 7.37MHz operation.
