Just checking, the parallax Board of Education is compatible with the Zbasic 24 pin module microcontroller?
The BOE is cheaper and has a breadboard built in. Seems easier option than the Dev boards I see here!
But if I bought a DEV Board here would it work with the 24 pin microcontroller and other microcontrollers?
Any opinions ?

The Parallax Board of Education is compatible with the 24-pin devices such as the ZX-24a. Don said that in a previous post.
Don't forget that the Board of Education still needs a microcontroller such as the Basic STAMP or a ZX-24a. That means the total cost is around $70 + $50 = $120.
The other development boards sold by Elba Corporation on ZBasic.net have a ZX-1281 or ZX-1281 embedded on them. These devices have more I/O pins and function than the ZX-24a. It is up to you which one you want to purchase. I would start with something small myself.
You can avoid buying another BOE by simply getting a regular breadboard and plugging in the ZX-328nu. The ZX-328nu is powered directly from the computer USB port and can supply up to 250mA to the rest of the breadboard. For example here is a Australian distributor that has a medium size breadboard for AUD 15.42 - it is larger than the BOE breadboard and of course much cheaper than a BOE.

Some of the problemis my computer us freezing so i figure my posts are not gettingn through,

The BOE is an easy way to get started but the solderless breadboard is quite small, suitable only for very simple projects. If you expect to tackle bigger projects, you may want to consider a larger solderless breadboard similar to those below. These don't have the power supply but you can easily add a 5V regulator and connection for a wall wart and other accoutrements. See the thread below for several ideas about how to make connections to a solderless breadboard.

No. The only dev boards that we sell currently are specifically designed for working with the large surface mount ZX devices like the ZX-1281 and ZX-1280.
